Think of personal essay ideas as well as field-specific essays. These may include medical, STEM, technology, etc., depending on the types of scholarship you will be applying for. Review and write sample essays to better prepare yourself.

Compile information regarding the following:

•  Academic Achievements
• Extracurricular Activities
• Leadership Experience
• Community Service/Volunteer
• Applicable Skills/Knowledge

Look at sample academic resumes for inspiration.

Some scholarships require a letter of recommendation. Start thinking about which teachers, mentors, or community leaders you might ask.
